I have been inspecting homes for over thirteen years. Prior to becoming a home inspector, I had nearly 20 years experience in residential construction. I was a licensed general contractor and also did extensive handicap access remodeling.

I have also done disaster relief in different parts of the country, including Hurricane Katrina. My duties often were a combination of consulting as well as hands on demolition removal and rebuilding.

I know what it takes to build a home and what it takes to knock it down. I know how to put concerns into perspective and help clients prioritize those concerns.

I am licensed to do Time of Sale inspections in Hopkins and Bloomington. I can do buyer's inspections anywhere in the Twin Cities and adjacent suburbs. I work with investors and do pre-sale consultations for sellers except on any property I am doing the time of sale report on.

I am certified in radon testing.

As a veteran of the 82nd Airborne and former emergency medical technician, I have a special place in my heart for those who serve or have served in any branch of the military. I offer a 10% discount to them as well as to currently active police, firefighters an EMS personnel.

I am a Certified Professional Inspector with over 100 hours of formal training through InterNACHI (International Association of Certified Home Inspectors) and numerous hours of hands-on inspection experience. In Minnesota, a home inspector is not required to be certified to perform home inspection services, however, I believe that to deliver the highest quality service to the client, professional certification sets me apart from the others.

I know what to and how to put concerns into perspective and help clients prioritize those concerns.

My background in home building systems includes assisting my brother build a log home from foundation to finish and renovating our family cabin. I was closely involved with the whole-house renovation including structural, plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems of my own home. Prior to becoming a home inspector, I had 33 years of success in business in the telecommunications and photography/ printing industries. I am extremely professional, analytical and I know how to provide the highest level of customer service.

My oldest son serves in the Minnesota National Guard and is a veteran of 2 Middle East deployments. I have a strong appreciation and respect for our men and women in uniform. I offer a 10% discount to them as well as to currently active police, firefighters an EMS personnel.
